Formerly known as Texas Tag and Specialty Company, it was started in
1935 by Paul Fulks Sr. who started the business by printing cotton tags.
In 1948, the Fulks purchased paper and metal cotton tag presses. The
decision was necessary since the original 1938 press did not have the
capacity to make the long Smith Doxey tag that the cotton gin industry
required. The entry of Paul Jr. into the company in early 1950 marked
the beginning of a new surge of growth for the firm that continued through
the 50's and 60's. That growth finally culminated in the acquisition
of the firm by Ennis Business Forms, Inc. in March of 1969.

In 1982, following the death of Paul Fulks Jr., the
Ennis Business Forms, Inc. management moved to bring one of its own
to be general manager to the local plant. Under the management of Doran
Graf, the profitability of the firm increased significantly. At the
end of his tenure in 1988, he was moved to Sales Manager and Vice President
at Ennis headquarters. The company added labels in Wolfe City to broaden
it's service before Doran was moved to Ennis.
In 1988, the new manager was Burl Linebarger. He came from the Ennis
plant at Boulder City, Nevada.

Once again, Wolfe City broadened the business spectrum by producing
printed post-it notes, in 1999. This new service has significantly
increased business for the Wolfe City division which continues to carry
on a tradition throughout the history of the location.
